Industrial recuperators are designed to heat of air by flue gases, waste heat and similar types of mediums.

Heated air can be used as a combustion air for increasing efficiency of burning processes.

Recuperators are usually used together with furnace equipment in metallurgy, oil and gas industries etc.

Installation, maintenance and repair (if necessary) of our recuperators are simple and easy to handle. Recuperators are self-cleaned and will require cleaning only when they are not properly used.

Our recuperators are compact, of low weight and robust. So, often they can be installed in places where common recuperators can not fit.

Design of ribbed plate recuperators

The ribbed plate recuperators are composed of stainless steel plates joined together in a cross way. So, in one layer the medium is passed through in longitudinal direction and in the next layer — in transverse direction.

The methods of plates joining:

1. A ribbed plate is covered with a lid without ribs. The next ribbed plate is placed on top of the lid ribs-down in a cross way.

2. A ribbed plate with ribs-up is joined with a another ribbed plate ribs-down.

3. Two ribbed plates with ribs-up are joined in a cross way.

In the first two options transverse spacers are established between the elements according to the principle of the third option. The motion pattern of two medium is cross flow, the heated air moves transversely to the direction of hot gases. Power of the heat exchanger depends on the temperatures of the medium, the number of modules and the method of panel connection.

The elements are assembled (welded) into a module:

  • For the first two variants of the assembly, elements are welded together with transverse spacers.
  • For the third version of the assembly package is welded forming cross-arranged panels;
  • In all cases, two cross-channels for the heated and heating medium are formed.
